Havelock Junior School was visited by OFSTED Inspectors on 11th and 12th July.  The inspectors praised the school in all areas particularly noting the high expectations of staff, the ambitious plans for improvement, the polite and well-mannered children, and the focused and determined leadership of the school.  The school was graded a ‘good’ school which is testament to the hard work and dedication of all staff.

‘The quality of teaching and learning is good because teachers regularly review the progress that pupils make. They carefully plan interesting activities often with cross-curricular themes that meet the needs of the pupils and build further on their progress.’

‘Pupils are polite and well mannered. The school’s values are at the heart of the curriculum and pupils understand that different people live different lives. They are well prepared for life in modern Britain.’
